Esperanza13 10 Posted July 8, 2009 Partager Posted July 8, 2009 Hello people! I'de like to propose a game that I saw in another Forum, I hope you'll be many to participate. The game is very simple; one member gives a sentence that contains a mistake, and the other memebers try to correct it. Citer
Esperanza13 10 Posted July 8, 2009 Author Partager Posted July 8, 2009 Since I'm the one who suggested this game, I'll try to give you a sentence to correct: I am the ninth letter of the Alphabet! Citer

Guest GunSamir Posted July 8, 2009 Partager Posted July 8, 2009 How is that? Beleive is correct, you can check it out! Quite means a (peut pret :D) "un peu" ou "assez" Quiet means "calme" "Beleive" is not correct. It is written "believe". The only situation in English where the "e" preceeds the "i" is after the "c" letter such as in "receive" ;) Citer

Guest GunSamir Posted July 8, 2009 Partager Posted July 8, 2009 Thanks for the correction, really thank you But I truely thought that "believe" was written that way! "that" is to be eliminated from the sentence. "was" is to be replaced by "is". This is a general truth, and in general truth statements the tense used is the present. ;) Citer
