"that" is to be eliminated from the sentence.

"was" is to be replaced by "is". This is a general truth, and in general truth statements the tense used is the present.

;)

Ok

Thanks again

I see that you enjoy correcting my mistakes...:music:

But why don't you participate to the game?murFrape

Well, i'm sorry, I thought this is the game. One member writes a statement containing mistakes and the others try to find them

Ok, what about my reply to your first message (on the second page)?

Hello people!

I'de like to propose a game that I saw in another Forum, I hope you'll be many to participate.

The game is very simple; one member gives a sentence that contains a mistake, and the other memebers try to correct it.

Then...

Not only those who are confortable in this language could participate, no ?

It'll be wise to let the others, cause it's them who make mistakes generally. And by the same occasion they can learn from it...

The answer is

I is the ninth letter of the Alphabet

And there is a story behind it: One day, a teacher asked his students to give him sentences containing the verb "to Be", on of them rised his hand, and started answering" I is..." The teacher stopped him saying;" no, after I you should put Am, not Is" and so the sentence has become " I am the ninth letter of the Alphabet"

Waiting for your sentences

Hey

May you noticed that I put a question mark in front of the name of the Topic, that's a way to motivate those who aren't interested in participating in discussions concerned with english, because I noticed that there are specific members who participate each time.

Ah OK, I see what it is now. It is not only an English language game, it is like a puzzle!

OK, so here is a statement:

The food that people eat contains a lot of chemicals.

Where is the mistake?

However, for the first statement, i believe the "I" should have been put between brakets ot double quote to differenciate it from the pronoun "I"

because if I am to go ...

in my heart you grow ...

and that's where you belong ...

yes I'm out of time ...

I'm out of time ...
