Eagles, Hotel California On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim I had to stop for the night There she stood in the doorway; I heard the mission bell And I was thinking to myself this could be heaven or this could be hell Then she lit up a candle, and she showed me the way There were voices down the corridor, I thought I heard them say Welcome to the Hotel California Such a lovely place, such a lovely face Plenty of room at the Hotel California Any time of year (any time of year) you can find it here Her mind is Tiffany twisted, she got the Mercedes Benz She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys that she calls friends How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat Some dance to remember, some dance to forget So I called up the captain; please bring me my wine He said : "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty-nine" And still those voices are calling from far away Wake you up in the middle of the night, just to hear them say Welcome to the Hotel California Such a lovely place, such a lovely face They livin' it up at the Hotel California What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise) bring your alibis Mirrors on the ceiling, the pink champagne on ice And she said we are all just prisoners here of our own device And in the master's chambers, they gathered for the feast They stab it with their steely knives but they just can't kill the beast Last thing I remember I was running for the door I had to find the passage back to the place I was before Relax said the nightman We are programmed to receive You can check out anytime you like but you can never leave Electriquement, Citer
DzadLane 10 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Partager Posted June 22, 2007 Supertramp SUPERTRAMP LOGICAL SONG... écouter When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful, a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily, joyfully, playfully watching me. But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible, logical, responsible, practical. And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable, clinical, intellectual, cynical. There are times when all the world's asleep, the questions run too deep for such a simple man. Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned I know it sounds absurd but please tell me who I am. Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical, liberal, fanatical, criminal. Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're acceptable, respecable, presentable, a vegtable! At night, when all the world's asleep, the questions run so deep for such a simple man. Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned I know it sounds absurd but please tell me who I am. Electriquement, Citer

:D Citer

Oh no not I I will survive Oh, as long as I know how to love I know I'll stay alive I've got all my life to live I've got all my love to give And I'll survive I will survive Hey hey It took all the strength I had not to fall apart Kept trying' hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart And I spent oh so many nights Just feeling sorry for myself I used to cry But now I hold my head up high And you see in me Somebody new I'm not that chained up little person still in love with you And so you feel like droppin' in And just expect me to be free But I'm savin' all my lovin' for someone who's lovin' me[/Quote] Electriquement, Citer

Farewell Angelina The bells of the crown Are being stolen by bandits I must follow the sound The triangle tingles And the trumpet play slow Farewell Angelina The sky is on fire And I must go. There's no need for anger There's no need for blame There's nothing to prove Ev'rything's still the same Just a table standing empty By the edge of the sea Farewell Angelina The sky is trembling And I must leave. The jacks and queens Have forsaked the courtyard Fifty-two gypsies Now file past the guards In the space where the deuce And the ace once ran wild Farewell Angelina The sky is folding I'll see you in a while. See the cross-eyed pirates sitting Perched in the sun Shooting tin cans With a sawed-off shotgun And the neighbors they clap And they cheer with each blast Farewell Angelina The sky's changing color And I must leave fast. King Kong, little elves On the rooftoops they dance Valentino-type tangos While the make-up man's hands Shut the eyes of the dead Not to embarrass anyone Farewell Angelina The sky is embarrassed And I must be gone. The machine guns are roaring The puppets heave rocks The fiends nail time bombs To the hands of the clocks Call me any name you like I will never deny it Farewell Angelina The sky is erupting I must go where it's quiet Electriquement, Citer
