un texte du poète Mohamed Ben Frikhan, texte que l’on trouve dans l’anthologie de la chanson populaire qu’on doit à Cheikh Belkbir. Dans ce poème, il est question des corsaires maghrébins qui écumaient la Méditerranée, et plus précisément du capitaine Najem commandant un imposant trois-mâts rentrant à Alger avec des captives maltaises, aussi belles, dit-il, que des rubis.
