Why MIT is one of the best universities in the world

Thanks for sharing:D Are you an MIT student?:D

The beauty of it all is the unconditional use of gray matter (intelligence) regardless of who you are, where you come from or your race...

This eminent professor is not (as you can tell from his accent) a native American...yet he made it through with his IQ in one of the world's most prestigious universities.

I wish I am , but unfortunately i'm just a student i one of our rotten universities .

you're right , for them, regardless of all social criterias of a person , he can be a teacher or a researcher as long as he can use very well his grey cells , and work with passion and enthusiasm . unlike what's happening with us , I'm having the impression that we're just whistling in the dark .

Optimism

^ Don't put yourself down,Kowalski

There are people on this very forum who would gladly do that for you. :(

Most of MIT teachers weren't MIT students to begin with.

Don't give up your dreams for you can still join as a teacher.

Chomsky graduated from Philly University and joined as a teacher later on,so there is that too.

probably because it is not an ... university (or a university ???)

what do you mean?

Of course they're very expensive when it comes to tuition fees. You could pays over $3,000 for a three credit course...do the math if you need to take at least 12 courses.:)

i mean it is not a university like bab ezzouar for instance

May be not but the interesting thing is that Algerian professors from Bab Ezzouar teach at American Universities with the same education they got at an Algerian university...and...they're successful...go figure. Ma cha Allah :)

this is as far as i can go with english ...

Yeah you could...but it's a hastle...really..and not garanteed.

Well, then I guess it's up to you to decide for nothing is impossible IMO,besides most of American universities have a diversity program which means you still can make it to one of the top universities in the country for the mere fact of being a foreign student.

Anyways, here is a very inspiring story about a homeless that made it to Harvard.

PS:I also was moved by Ben's story.
