You did not tell me yet, where did you learn english? was it in school?

Actually, no

My mam helped me since my childhood, she noticed how interested I was in larning languages so she did what she could to improve my skills, then I started to read books, wrighting short stories, practising by several ways.

Now, I'm using english at work because I deal with foreigne persons from all over the world, but I'm still learning, I know my english is not that good

It's impressive with respect to someone who did self learning to get to this point of mastering the language! My regards to your mam she must be a great teacher.

I also am impressed by your performance and words connection!

How do you find Australian's and Scotish people ennglish?! :D

Thank you Samir, your're so kind :o

Actually, I was discussing the scotish english with my sister (she studies english at univ), I find their accent, stress and tones quit different from the one spoken in england. The australian one is pretty similar to the "english" english, but a person that masters english can notice the difference.

I like American english

now you tell me, where did you learn english? it's perfect!

I was busy for few more minutes! sorry!

Actually the scotish english is one of the hardest! very difficult to understant. It looks like they skip letters or even words! The australiens speak most of them from their noses :mdr: they even change the phonemes. One of the well known is that they pronounce the "a" "i" :mdr:

For me, I learned it in university. I was "0" when i enered university, then I had to learn it because it was a must if you know what I mean!

Saying that it is perfect is nowhere near the truth! It is just the basic knowledge one has to have to do the job. Real challenges are faced when discussing daily life subjects with foreing people!!! It feels like you never knew a word!!! :mdr:

When i joined the company i had my interview with an Australian who, believe it or not, other australians did not understand his english let alone americans or british. :mdr: It looks like he has two noses and not a nose and a mouth! :chut:

So, I was disapointed! yes i was. I said hell how am i going to deal with these people. Then my colleages "reconforted" me saying that was a particular situation. I bet he is.

Things started to get better a little by little, then here we are. Yet, this does not mean that I came to perfection but I am better than i was before thanks to God and practice!
